Why join Shetland Bird Club?
Membership of Shetland Bird Club is open to absolutely anyone with an interest in Shetland and its bird life. Both beginners and experts are equally welcomed, and everyone has an opportunity to contribute to our knowledge of Shetland's birds.
Members receive the annual Shetland Bird Report, giving details of all species seen in the county, an SBC window sticker, regular newsletters full of news, research and features, and free entry to our illustrated talks and lectures on birds and other wildlife.
SBC members receive a 10% discount at Harbro, Lerwick, on bird seed and other related products. We hope that this will be the first of several new benefits for our members.

The personal data of club members is held on the Shetland Bird Club database for club purposes only, so that we can provide services in accordance with our membership terms and conditions. We do not share personal data, except names and address supplied to the distributors of our annual report. Data is deleted on termination of membership. Members can request a copy of their own personal data held by the club. Please contact treasurer@shetlandbirdclub.co.uk for more information.

Annual subscription rates are as follows:
Ordinary member: £15.00
Overseas member*: £20.00
Memberships can also be paid for by cheque, BACS or Standing Order. Please contact the Membership Secretary for more details.
Any NEW members who sign up to pay their annual subscription by standing order will receive the current Shetland Bird Report, including postage, absolutely free!
*Please note that members outside the UK no longer have the option to receive SBC newsletters by post; an email address must be provided.
