Shetland Moths - fascinating pastime

Across Shetland, in gardens, during the darker hours of the night, bright lights are shining, with the sole aim of sampling the moth species on the wing. These moth's are attracted to that light, and each morning, we can see what delights are hiding amongst the egg boxes in the bottom of the trap. Once viewed, the moths are safely released to live out their life cycle. Here is just a taster of what you might find...
