Cetacean Recording Form

This recording form may be used to record sightings of whales and dolphins in Shetland waters. Please print off these forms and pass them to the Shetland Sea Mammal Group - even if you only record one sighting. The forms are in Adobe Acrobat format - if you do not have an Acrobat reader installed on your computer you can download it for free from Adobe acrobat (pdf) reader.

Please return recording sheets to: Shetland Biological Records Centre, Garthspool, Lerwick, Shetland by the end of each year.

To report unusual sightings of cetaceans or dead strandings please telephone: Scottish Natural Heritage (01595) 693345 as soon as possible after the event.

To report live strandings please telephone: Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) on (01595) 840321 as soon as possible after the animal is discovered.
