The new Rustic Bunting on Foula - Russell Wynn; Yellow-browed Warbler on Fetlar - Brydon Thomason

A Thrush Nightingale is still at an undisclosed site on Mainland. The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter. A Short-toed Lark and a Yellow-browed Warbler are at Grutness and a Red-breasted Flycatcher is at Sumburgh Head. The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with a Yellow-browed Warble, while a Ruff is at Sandwick.

On Foula, there are now 2 first-winter Rustic Buntings on Foula, while at least 15 Yellow-browed Warblers were on the island. Other sightings included a Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Red-throated Divers, a Grey Heron, 2 Kestrels, a Merlin, a Water Rail, 4 Oystercatchers, a Knot, 3 Jack Snipes, 2 juvenile Puffins, a Turtle Dove, a Pied Wagtail, 8 White Wagtails, a Dunnock, a Robin, a Common Redstart, 4 Whinchats, 20 Wheatears, 4 Song Thrushes, 8 Redwings, a Sedge Warbler, 2 Reed Warblers, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, a Common Whitethroat, 4 Blackcaps, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Willow Warblers, 2 Goldcrests, 40 Chaffinches, 3 Bramblings, 9 Siskins, a Lapland Bunting and a Snow Bunting.

There are 8 Yellow-browed Warblers on Fetlar along with 2 Jack Snipes and 2 Ruffs.

On Out Skerries there are 2 Yellow-browed Warblers as well as 11 Jack Snipes, a Tree Pipit, 5 Dunnocks, 3 Robins, a Common Redstart, 24 Redwings, 3 Song Thrushes, a Grasshopper Warbler, a Sedge Warbler, 8 Blackcaps, a Garden Warbler, 2 Willow Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest, 4 Siskins and a Common Redpoll.

The Barred Warbler is still at Skaw on Unst with a Yellow-browed Warbler there, 3 at Northdale and others at Norwick, Uyeasound and Baltasound, while a Ruff and a Turtle Dove are at Baltasound.

On Bressay there are Yellow-browed Warblers at Maryfield, Ham and Gorie and a Lapland Bunting and a Black Redstart are at Uphouse.

Rustic Bunting and Barred Warbler on Foula - Russell Wynn

A Thrush Nightingale is at an undisclosed site on Mainland. The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Barred Warbler is at Sumburgh. There are 2 Yellow-browed Warblers at Kergord, 2 at Voe and singles at Vidlin and Swining.

The first-winter Rustic Bunting is still present at Hametoun, Foula, along with the 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese, a Little Stint, a Turtle Dove, a Barred Warbler and 3 Lapland Buntings. There was also a Pink-footed Goose, 2 Kestrels, 2 Merlins, 2 Peregrine Falcons, 2 Purple Sandpipers, 4 Jack Snipes, a Tree Pipit, a Pied Wagtail, 9 White Wagtails, a Dunnock, 4 Robins, a Common Redstart, 5 Whinchats, 30 Wheatears, 4 Song Thrushes, a Sedge Warbler, 2 Reed Warblers, a Garden Warbler, 4 Blackcaps, 3 Chiffchaffs, 2 Willow Warblers, a Spotted Flycatcher, 13 Ravens, 30 Chaffinches, 3 Bramblings, 20 Siskins and 31 Snow Buntings.

A Hobby is on Fetlar.

A Black Redstart and a Siskin are on Noss.

A late Whimbrel, a Grasshopper Warbler and the Common Rosefinch are on Out Skerries.

The long-staying Red-backed Shrike at Norwick was found dead. A Lapland Bunting flew over Baltasound.

Olive-backed Pipit on Out Skerries - Michael McKee

The Olive-backed Pipit and the Common Rosefinch are still on Out Skerries

The first-winter Rustic Bunting is still at Hametoun, Foula, the 2  Greenland White-fronted Geese are still on the island and 3 Sooty Shearwaters, a juvenile Little Stint, a Turtle Dove and 2 Lapland Buntings were seen. Other birds included 3 Pink-footed Geese, 135 Eiders, 2 Kestrels, a Merlin, a Peregrine Falcon, 2 Puffins, 8 White Wagtails, 2 Dunnocks, 2 Robins, 2 Common Redstarts, 4 Whinchats, 35 Wheatears, 2 Song Thrushes, a Redwing, a Sedge Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, a Common Whitethroat, 5 Blackcaps, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Willow Warblers, a Spotted Flycatcher, 60 Chaffinches, 3 Bramblings, 15 Siskins and 2 Snow Buntings.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with a Barred Warbler.

A Yellow-browed Warbler, a Common Rosefinch and a Reed Warbler are on Fetlar, although the Black-headed Bunting was reported to be still at Aith .

A Black Redstart, a Reed Warbler, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Ruff, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Willow Warbler, and a flock of 60 Chaffinches are on Bressay.

The Red-backed Shrike is still at Norwick and the Common Rosefinch and 3 Yellow-browed Warblers are at Uyeasound.

Olive-backed Pipit on Out Skerries - Michael McKee; Rustic Bunting and Tree Pipit on Foula - Russell Wynn; Red-breasted Flycatcher at Wester Quarff - Jim Nicolson

An Olive-backed Pipit is on Out Skerries, along with a Jack Snipe and a Sedge Warbler.

On Foula, a first-winter Rustic Bunting was at Hametoun from late morning onwards. There were also 2 adult Greenland White-fronted Geese, 270 Pink-footed Geese, a juvenile Little Stint, a Turtle Dove, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Common Rosefinch and 5 Lapland Buntings, as well as a Goldeneye, 5 Cormorants flying south, 2 Kestrels, a Merlin, a Peregrine Falcon, 5 Jack Snipes, a Tree Pipit, 5 White Wagtails, 2 Dunnocks, 2 Robins, 2 Common Redstarts, 5 Whinchats, 35 Wheatears, 5 Song Thrushes, 2 Redwings, a Sedge Warbler, 2 Reed Warblers, a Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler, a Goldcrest, a Spotted Flycatcher, 13 Ravens (influx?), 50 Chaffinches, 2 Bramblings, 35 Siskins and a Snow Bunting.

The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter and the Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. The Red-breasted Flycatcher is still at Wester Quarff along with a Barred Warbler and a Yellow-browed Warbler.

The Kingfisher is still at Baltasound, along with a Barred Warbler, and a Red-backed Shrike is still at Norwick.

Little Bunting at Dale of Walls and Red-breasted Flycatcher at Wester Quarff - Hugh Harrop; Kingfisher at Baltasound - Steve Minton

The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter along with a Yellow-browed Warbler. A Common Rosefinch is at Grutness and a Barred Warbler is at Scatness. The Red-breasted Flycatcher is still at Wester Quarff along with a Yellow-browed Warbler.

The Little Bunting is still at Dale of Walls. A Barred Warbler is at Kergord.

The Woodchat Shrike and the Kingfisher are still at Baltasound, along with 32 Wood Pigeons. There are 2 Yellow-browed Warblers at Northdale, a Sand Martin at Haroldswick, a Barred Warbler and a Yellow-browed Warbler at Skaw and 2 Yellow-browed Warblers and a Common Rosefinch at Uyeasound.

A Slavonian Grebe, 5 Sooty Shearwaters, a blue Fulmar, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Common Rosefinch and 5 Lapland Buntings were seen on Foula. There was also a Pintail, a Goldeneye, a Red-breasted Merganser, 135 Eiders, a Red-throated Diver, 4 Great Northern Divers, a Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrels, a Peregrine Falcon, a Knot, a Sanderling, 15 Purple Sandpipers, 3 Jack Snipes, a first-winter Lesser Black- backed Gull, a juvenile Puffin, a Turtle Dove, 4 Tree Pipits, 13 White Wagtails, a Dunnock, 2 Robins, 6 Swallows, 2 Common Redstarts, 4 Whinchats, 50 Wheatears, 10 Song Thrushes, 2 Redwings, 2 Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 2 Garden Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, a Chiffchaff, 5 Willow Warblers, 2 Goldcrests, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Pied Flycatcher, 45 Chaffinches, 2 Bramblings, 55 Siskins and a Snow Bunting.

There are 4 Lapland Buntings and a Common Rosefinch on Out Skerries.

Little Bunting at Dale of Walls - Dave Hall

The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter along with a Yellow-browed Warbler and the Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Red-breasted Flycatcher is at Wester Quarff, there are 3 Kestrels, a Peregrine Falcon, 2 Common Redstarts, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Barnacle Goose at Scatness, and a Turtle Dove, 30 Siskins, 35 Chaffinches, a Brambling, a Lesser Whitethroat and a Sedge Warbler at Grutness.

The Little Bunting is still at Dale of Walls, and a  Yellow Wagtail is at Norby. A female Sparrowhawk is at Kergord.

The Woodchat Shrike is still at Baltasound, and what was presumably the same Kingfisher from last week was seen by one observer in front of the shop at Baltasound. At least one Red-backed Shrike is still at Norwick with another at Baltasound, a Yellow-browed Warbler is at Northdale and a Common Rosefinch is at Uyeasound.

On Foula, there is a juvenile Curlew Sandpiper, a Barred Warbler, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, a north-western Common Redpoll, 2 Common Rosefinches and 3 Lapland Buntings, along with a Goldeneye, a Water Rail, a Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrels, a Merlin, a Peregrine Falcon, a Ruff, 13 Jack Snipes, an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Tree Pipits, 4 White Wagtails, a Dunnock, 3 Common Redstarts, 5 Whinchats, 13 Song Thrushes, a Redwing, a Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warblers, a Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Blackcaps, a Chiffchaff, 5 Willow Warblers, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Pied Flycatcher, 25 Chaffinches, 25 Siskins and a Snow Bunting.

On Whalsay there is a Bluethroat, 2 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, a Barred Warbler, a Black Redstart, a Little Stint and 3 Tree Pipits.

Black-headed Bunting on Fetlar - Michael McKee

A Citrine Wagtail is on Out Skerries along with a Richard's Pipit, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Barred Warbler, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, 2 Common Rosefinches and 10 Lapland Buntings.

The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter and the Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Yellow-browed Warbler is at Quendale and at least one Barred Warbler is around Sumburgh Farm and Hotel. A Common Rosefinch is at Grutness, a Barred Warbler and a Turtle Dove are at Boddam, and another Common Rosefinch and 30 Chaffinches are at Swinister, Shetland. There are 2 Little Stints at Boddam and 5 Ruffs at Bixter.

On Fetlar, the Black-headed Bunting is still at Aith, and a Grasshopper Warbler is on the island.

The Woodchat Shrike is still at Baltasound, a Marsh Warbler is Haroldswick along with a Pale-bellied Brent Goose, a Wryneck and a Red-backed Shrike are at Norwick and a Barred Warbler is at Uyeasound.

On Foula there is a Barred Warbler, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, 2 Common Rosefinches and 10 Lapland Buntings, along with 3 Greylag Geese, a Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrels, a Peregrine Falcon, 10 Jack Snipes, 4 Tree Pipits, 13 White Wagtails, 2 Dunnock, a Robin, 4 Common Redstarts, 5 Whinchats, 40 Wheatears, 8 Song Thrushes, a Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Sedge Warblers, 2 Reed Warblers, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, a Garden Warbler, 10 Blackcaps, 4 Willow Warblers, a Spotted Flycatcher, 6 Chaffinches, 5 Siskins and 3 Snow Buntings.

Pectoral Sandpiper, Yellow Wagtail, Red-backed Shrike and 'North-western' Redpoll on Foula - Russell Wynn

A Citrine Wagtail is at Scatness, on the west side of the Loch of Gards, while there are also 2 Tree Pipits, 3 Kestrels, a Merlin, 9 Barnacle Geese, 3 Grey Herons, 84 Wigeons, a Snow Bunting, 4 Little Stints, a Jack Snipe, a Yellow-browed Warbler and a Scaup at Scatness. The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter along with at least one Yellow-browed Warbler and the Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Barred Warbler is at Grutness and a Turtle Dove is at Sumburgh Head. There is a Red-breasted Flycatcher and 2 Yellow-browed Warblers at Wester Quarff. A Hobby was reported at Wester Quarff.

An adult female Woodchat Shrike is at Baltasound, along with a Yellow-browed Warbler. There are 2 Red-backed Shrikes, a Yellow-browed Warbler and a Barred Warbler at Norwick, a Common Rosefinch is at Northdale, a Barred Warbler is at Uyeasound, a Common Buzzard flew in off the sea at Hermaness, 15 Snow Buntings are on Saxa Vord and there are Grey Wagtails at Skaw, Norwick and Burrafirth.

On Foula, the Pectoral Sandpiper is still present along with a Little Stint, a Wryneck, a Bluethroat, 3 Yellow-browed Warblers, a Red-backed Shrike, 2 Common Rosefinches, a north-western Common Redpoll and 9 Lapland Buntings. There is also a Greylag Goose, a Kestrel, a Merlin, a Peregrine Falcon, a Water Rail, a Sanderling, 6 Jack Snipes, 4 Tree Pipits, 20 White Wagtails, 2 Dunnocks, 3 Common Redstarts, 7 Whinchats, 100 Wheatears, 4 Song Thrushes, a Grasshopper Warbler, 3 Sedge Warblers, 4 Reed Warblers, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 4 Garden Warblers, 20 Blackcaps, 2 Chiffchaffs, 10 Willow Warblers, a Spotted Flycatcher, 8 Chaffinches, 2 Siskins and 11 Snow Buntings.

On Out Skerries there is a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Common Rosefinch, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Lapland Bunting, a Little Stint, a Jack Snipe, a Brambling, a Pied Flycatcher and 4 Purple Sandpipers.

A Common Rosefinch and a Wood Warbler are at Mid Yell.

The Arctic Warbler is still at Geosetter along with 2 Yellow-browed Warblers. The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Common Rosefinch is at Grutness. There are 2 Ruffs at Bixter.

On Fetlar, the Black-headed Bunting is still at Aith, and the Booted Warbler is still at Funzie, while a Pectoral Sandpiper is at Loch of Funzie.

On Foula, there is a Pintail, a Goldeneye, a Blue Fulmar, 2 Sparrowhawks, 2 Kestrels, a Merlin, 2 Peregrine Falcons, 3 Little Stints, 25 Dunlins, 2 Jack Snipes, 4 Tree Pipits, a Yellow Wagtail, 17 White Wagtails, 2 Common Redstarts, 5 Whinchats, 55 Wheatears, 6 Song Thrushes, 2 Sedge Warblers, a Marsh Warbler, a Reed Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, a Garden Warbler, 7 Blackcaps, a Yellow-browed Warbler, 10 Willow Warblers, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Pied Flycatcher, 7 Chaffinches, 2 Siskins, 2 Common Rosefinches, 4 Lapland Buntings and 10 Snow Buntings.

There are Yellow-browed Warblers at Baltasound and Burrafirth, 2 Taiga Bean Goose still at Haroldswick, the Red-backed Shrike is still at Norwick, 11 Ruffs at Baltasound and the 4 Little Stints still at Lamba Ness.

A Yellow-browed Warbler is on Out Skerries along with 2 Little Stints, a Corncrake, a Snow Bunting, a Pied Flycatcher and 4 Common Redstarts.

Black-headed Bunting at Toab and Arctic Warbler at Geosetter - Hugh Harrop

An Arctic Warbler is at Geosetter, the Black-headed Bunting is still at Toab. A Barred Warbler is at Maywick. The Red-rumped Swallow and the 2 Pied Flycatchers are still at Hoswick. A Yellow-browed Warbler is at Wester Quarff. A Golden Oriole and a Sparrowhawk are at Kergord.

On Fetlar, a Black-headed Bunting is at Aith, a Buff-breasted Sandpiper is at Funzie along with the Booted Warbler, and the Pechora Pipit is still at Feal, while there are also 2 Yellow-browed Warblers on the island. 

A juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper is on Foula, along with 3 juvenile Little Stints, a Barred Warbler, a Yellow-browed Warbler, 2 Common Redpolls and 3 juvenile Common Rosefinches as well as a Pintail, a Red-breasted Merganser, a Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrels, a Peregrine Falcon, 3 Sanderlings, 3 Purple Sandpipers, 7 Jack Snipes, 3 Ruffs, 6 Tree Pipits, a Yellow Wagtail, 18 White Wagtails, 2 Common Redstarts, 5 Whinchats, 90 Wheatears, 4 Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Common Whitethroat, 2 Garden Warblers, a Blackcap, 12 Willow Warblers, a Pied Flycatcher, a Spotted Flycatcher, 6 Chaffinches and 6 Snow Buntings.

On Whalsay, the Siberian Stonechat is still at Hamister, along with a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Barred Warbler and a Tree Pipit.

A Red-backed Shrike and the Barred Warbler are at Norwick, while a Sedge Warbler is at Skaw and at least 2 Little Stints are still on Lamba Ness.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with a male Sparrowhawk, 2 Pied Flycatchers and a Spotted Flycatcher, and there are 3 Little Stints at Grutness.

On Foula there is a Marsh Warbler, 2 Common Rosefinches, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Barred Warbler, a Pied Flycatcher, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Yellow Wagtail, 3 Whinchats, 2 Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, 4 Willow Warblers, a Kestrel, a Dunnock, a Robin, 7 Swallows and 40 Wigeons.

The 2 Taiga Bean Geese are still at Haroldswick, a Barred Warbler is at Norwick and the 4 Little Stints are on Lamba Ness, with 3 Snow Buntings at Skaw.

Bean Geese at Haroldswick - Mike Pennington; Spotted Flycatcher at Skaw, Unst - Jim Nicolson; Common Rosefinch at Northdale, Unst - Steve Minton

The Black-headed Bunting is at Toab and the Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Spotted Redshank is at Ocraquoy.

An Ortolan Bunting is on Noss along with a Black Redstart and a Yellow-browed Warbler.

The 2 Taiga Bean Geese are still at Haroldswick and the 4 Little Stints are on Lamba Ness, while a Common Rosefinch is at Northdale..

A Red-breasted Flycatcher is on Whalsay.

Booted Warbler and Quail on Fetlar - Brydon Thomason; Yellow-browed Warbler at Maywick - Hugh Harrop

A Pechora Pipit and a Booted Warbler are on Fetlar, at Feall and Funzie respectively, along with a Quail, a Pied Flycatcher and a Reed Warbler on the island.

A Siberian Stonechat is at Hamister, Whalsay, with 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, 2 Barred Warblers, 2 Sparrowhawks, a Little Stint and a Common Rosefinch also on the island.

A Kingfisher is at Skaw, Unst, with 4 Little Stints on Lamba Ness, 2 Taiga Bean Geese and a Yellow Wagtail at Haroldswick and a Quail in the same crop at Haroldswick as 8 days ago.

A Little Bunting and a Yellow-browed Warbler are at Dale of Walls. A Hen Harrier is at Bixter. A Yellow-browed Warbler is at Oxensetter, Northmavine. An Icterine Warbler is at Strand. A Slavonian Grebe is on Sand Water.

Around Quarff there are 2 Yellow-browed Warblers, 2 Marsh Warblers, 30 Willow Warblers, an Icterine Warbler, a Common Rosefinch, a Yellow Wagtail, a Grey Wagtail, 2 Black Redstarts, a Goldfinch and a nightingale sp. which was seen early on but not relocated. The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick along with a Spotted Flycatcher. There are 6 Little Stints, 2 Common Sandpipers, 12 Black-tailed Godwits and a Greenshank at Scatness.

Red-breasted Flycatcher at Sumburgh and Little Stint at Quendale - Hugh Harrop

A Greenish Warbler is on Noss along with a Long-eared Owl, 2 Jack Snipes, a Little Stint, a Yellow Wagtail, 3 Purple Sandpipers, 3 Dunnocks, 4 Chaffinches and 62 Common Snipes.

The Black-headed Bunting is at Toab, along with a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Barred Warbler and a Common Rosefinch are at Grutness, the Red-breasted Flycatcher is still at Sumburgh Hotel, a Honey Buzzard is at Sumburgh Head,  the Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick along with a Barred Warbler, and there are Little Stints at Grutness, Quendale and Boddam.

A Yellow-browed Warbler is at Kebister, at the mouth of Dales Voe, Lerwick. A Barred Warbler and a Yellow-browed Warbler are at Whiteness.

A Little Stint is on Fetlar.

A Black-headed Bunting is at Toab, along with a Yellow-browed Warbler and a Dunnock. Another Yellow-browed Warbler is at Scatness along with 2 Wood Warblers. A Barred Warbler is at Grutness along with 2 Tree Pipits. A Song Thrush, a Common Whitethroat and a Tree Pipit are at Sumburgh Farm. A Red-breasted Flycatcher is at Sumburgh Hotel. The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick and a Yellow-browed Warbler is at Sandwick. There are 2 Kestrels at Spiggie.

A Yellow-browed Warbler and a Barred Warbler are at Burrafirth, 4 Little Stints are on Lamba Ness at Skaw, and 3 first-winter Little Gulls are at Haroldswick.

A Red-breasted Flycatcher is on Fetlar.

Citrine Wagtail(s) on Out Skerries - Brydon Thomason

At least one Citrine Wagtail is on Out Skerries. Although seen in the same area and not seen together, one flew off and another was located almost immediately, while the plumage does seem to differ. A Wryneck and a Yellow-browed Warbler are also on Skerries.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick along with 12 Chaffinches. A Red-breasted Flycatcher is at Sumburgh Head. A Red-backed Shrike, a Barred Warbler and a female Blackcap at Scatness, and a Yellow-browed Warbler is at Toab. An early male Goosander is with about 70 Wigeons at the head of Dales Voe, Delting.

A juvenile Hobby flew over Norwick, the Common Rosefinch is still there, and 2 Yellow Wagtails and a Turtle Dove are at Haroldswick.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick and a Sparrowhawk is at Channerwick.

On Foula there are 2 Red-breasted Flycatchers, 2 Barred Warblers, a Marsh Warbler, 4 Garden Warblers, 10 Tree Pipits, 15 Willow Warblers, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Sedge Warblers, a Whinchat and 5 Swallows which were seen heading out to sea.

A Yellow-browed Warbler is at Northdale, Unst.

Blackbird and Pied Flycatcher at Sandgarth, Voe - Tony & Beth Gerrard

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with a Peregrine Falcon and a Green Sandpiper. There are still at least 2 Barred Warblers at Grutness and a Curlew Sandpiper there.

On Foula there are 2 Marsh Warblers, 2 Red-breasted Flycatchers, 4 Common Rosefinches, 2 Barred Warblers, a Wryneck, 2 Ruffs, a Whimbrel, a Yellow Wagtail, 2 Kestrels, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Pied Flycatcher.

A Common Rosefinch is in Scalloway.

The Barred Warbler is still at Baltasound and a Common Rosefinch is at Norwick.

Tuesday 12th September  2006

Great Snipe at Baltasound - Dougie Preston; Marsh Warbler and Common Rosefinch on Foula - Micky Maher; Marsh Warbler on Foula - Brydon Thomason; Barred Warbler at Grutness - Hugh Harrop

The Great Snipe was at Trolla Water, Baltasound, first thing in the morning but was not seen later. A Barred Warbler is also at Baltasound.

There are 3 Marsh Warblers and 3 Common Rosefinches on Foula along with 2 Reed Warblers, 3 Sedge Warblers and the Grasshopper Warbler.

A Marsh Warbler and a Barred Warbler are at Wester Quarff. There are still 3 Barred Warblers at Grutness. There are 2 Little Stints and a Curlew Sandpiper at Pool of Virkie and 3 Little Stints at Boddam Voe. A Pied Flycatcher is new at Sandgarth, Voe. A Wryneck was found dead in the Tingwall valley.

A Yellow-browed Warbler is on Noss. A Bar-tailed Godwit is at Ayre Dykes, Burra.

Yellow-breasted Bunting on Whalsay - Hugh Harrop; Icterine Warbler on Foula - Brydon Thomason

A Yellow-breasted Bunting is at Sandwick on Whalsay, along with a Common Rosefinch and 3 Whinchats.

A Great Snipe was at Baltasound in mid-afternoon, but has not been relocated. A Green Sandpiper, a Tree Pipit and a Spotted Flycatcher are also there and a Barred Warbler is at Skaw.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. There are 3 Barred Warblers and a Common Rosefinch at Grutness, a Common Rosefinch at Sumburgh Farm and a Barred Warbler at Scatness.

The Yellow-browed Warbler is still on Foula along with an Icterine Warbler, a Red-backed Shrike, a Yellow Wagtail, 2 Barred Warblers, 2 Common Rosefinches, 2 Sedge Warblers and 2 Reed Warblers.

A Common Rosefinch is still at Otterswick on Yell.

Little Stint and Sanderlings at Scatness - Hugh Harrop; Finnish-ringed Kestrel at Baltasound - Margaret Pennington; Lesser Redpoll on Foula - Micky Maher

A juvenile Rose-coloured Starling is at Ness of Sound, Lerwick. A Curlew Sandpiper is at Scord, Sumburgh, there are 2 Little Stints and a Peregrine Falcon at Scatness and a Common Rosefinch is at Grutness.

A very early Yellow-browed Warbler, a Red-backed Shrike, a Grasshopper Warbler, a new Sedge Warbler and a Lesser Redpoll are on Foula.

There are 2 Turtle Doves at Uyeasound and a Reed Warbler at Norwick. A Kestrel found in a creel at Baltasound was carrying a Finnish ring - apparently the first recovery of a Finnish-ringed bird in Scotland.

A Common Rosefinch is still at Otterswick.

Saturday 9th September  2006

Red-backed Shrike at Norwick - Mike Pennington; Common Rosefinch on Foula - Brydon Thomason

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with a Pied Flycatcher, with another Pied Flycatcher, a Green Sandpiper and 3 Grey Wagtails at nearby Swinister. There are 2 Common Redpolls at Sandgarth, Voe.

A Red-backed Shrike is at Norwick, a Barred Warbler and a Turtle Dove are at Skaw and a Quail is at Haroldswick.

There are still 2 Common Rosefinches at Otterswick on Yell along with 2 Pied Flycatchers.

A Common Rosefinch is on Foula, along with a Peregrine Falcon, a Sand Martin, a Sedge Warbler, 4 Tree Pipits, 20 Willow Warblers and a Lapland Bunting.

Pectoral Sandpiper on Foula - Micky Maher; Red Grouse at Cunningsburgh - Jim Nicolson

A Pectoral Sandpiper and an Ortolan Bunting are along the Hametoun Burn on Foula, along with a Barred Warbler and 2 Reed Warblers.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with a Pied Flycatcher, with another Pied Flycatcher at Quarff.

A Barred Warbler is still at Baltasound.

Thursday 7th September  2006

There are 2 Marsh Warblers on Fetlar, one from 3rd and another from yesterday. There are also 2 Common Rosefinches, a Barred Warbler and a Reed Warbler.

On Unst, there are Barred Warblers at Skaw, Norwick and Baltasound and a Common Rosefinch is at Norwick.

There are 2 Common Rosefinches, an Icterine Warbler and a Spotted Flycatcher at Otterswick on Yell.

A Barred Warbler and a Short-eared Owl are at Sandwick.

Wednesday 6th September  2006

Wood Warbler at Sumburgh Farm - Steve Minton; Lesser Whitethroat at Burravoe, Yell - Dougie Preston; Red Grouse at Collafirth, Delting - Tony & Beth Gerrard

A Greenish Warbler is at Gorie, Bressay.

There is a new Marsh Warbler on Fetlar along with 4 Common Rosefinches, 2 Barred Warblers, a Reed Warbler, 6 Tree Pipits and 60 Willow Warblers.

An Icterine Warbler, a Wryneck and a Lesser Whitethroat are at Burravoe, Yell.

There are 2 Wood Warblers at Northdale, Unst.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Wood Warbler and a Pied Flycatcher are Sumburgh Farm. There are 3 Fieldfares at Kergord, while 2 Goldeneyes are at Loch of Semblisetter.

Red-rumped Swallow at Hoswick - Hugh Harrop

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. A Peregrine Falcon flew over Channerwick and a Grey Wagtail is there. Another Grey Wagtail is at Swinister. There are 10 Black-tailed Godwits at Scatness.

A Barred Warbler is at Norwick and a Grasshopper Warbler is at Skaw.

An adult Sabine's Gull flew past Garths Ness, Quendale, in the morning, along with an unidentified large shearwater. The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. The Common Buzzard is still at Mossy Hill.

An adult Sabine's Gull flew south past Eshaness in the evening.

Sunday 3rd September  2006

Red-rumped Swallow at Hoswick - Hugh Harrop; Bar-tailed Godwit at Virkie - Rob Fray; Wood Warbler at Virkie - Roger Riddington

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick, along with 3 Grey Wagtails. Another Grey Wagtail is at Channerwick and a Greenshank is at Huesbreck. A Barred Warbler is at Sumburgh Farm, a Wood Warbler is at Virkie and there are 3 Curlew Sandpipers, 6 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and 17 Knots at Pool of Virkie. A Common Buzzard is on Mossy Hill.

A Marsh Warbler, a Red-backed Shrike and 2 Barred Warblers are on Fetlar.

Saturday 2nd September  2006

Red-rumped Swallow at Hoswick - Dave Hall; Curlew Sandpiper at Pool of Virkie - Rob Fray; Roger Riddington

An Arctic Warbler has been reported at Ham Burn, Foula, and a Corncrake is also on the island.

The Red-rumped Swallow is still at Hoswick. The Marsh Warbler is still at Sumburgh Head, along with a Kestrel. Another Marsh Warbler is at Quendale. A Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Knots, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits and 6 Black-tailed Godwits are at Pool of Virkie.

Red-rumped Swallow at Hoswick - Dave Hall; Barred Warbler and Merlin at Sumburgh - Rob Fray

The Red-rumped Swallow has reappeared at Hoswick. A Barred Warbler is at Sumburgh Head and the Marsh Warbler is still there. An early Robin is at Virkie and there are 5 juvenile Curlew Sandpipers, 21 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and 4 Knots on Pool of Virkie.

The Wood Sandpiper is still at Burrafirth.
