The 'Saker' falcon which has been in Shetland over the last few weeks is in
fact a Gyr x Saker hybrid which has escaped from a collection in Dumfries-shire. There is a reward
in the increasingly unlikely event of its recapture, as it seems to be 'going
native'.
A Red-backed Shrike and a Common Rosefinch are on Fetlar.
On Foula the Chiffchaff and the Grey Wagtail are still present
together with 2 Willow Warblers, 2 Garden Warblers and about 60
Golden Plovers.
