Common Crossbills, Wheatear and Fulmar on Unst - Mike Pennington

Common Crossbill at Kergord - Geoff & Verity Blackman; Wood Pigeons at Oxensetter - Stan Brown

The male Black-headed Bunting is still at Hamars Ness, Fetlar.

There are 8 Common Crossbills, 2 Siskins, a Blackcap and a Willow Warbler at Kergord. A Common Crossbill is at Virkie and 3 Wood Pigeons are at Oxensetter, Northmavine.

On Unst, there are 13 Common Crossbills at Baltasound and one at Ramnageo.

Black Guillemot, Wren and Puffin on Noss - Alastair Wilson

The male Black-headed Bunting is still around Hamars Ness, Fetlar, and a Hobby is on the island.

A Hawfinch is at Busta House, Brae. There are 7 Great Northern Divers in Quendale Bay.

A Swift is on Noss.

Arctic Skua at Dalsetter - Jim Nicolson; Long-eared Owl at Cunningsburgh - Charles Hughson

The male Black-headed Bunting on Fetlar has reappeared at Urie.

On Unst, a Quail is at Haroldswick and 5 Swifts are at Baltasound.

A Sandwich Tern is at Virkie and a Long-eared Owl is at Cunningsburgh.

There are 14 Common Crossbills at Bells Road, Lerwick.

A Garden Warbler is on Noss. Four Great Northern Divers are off Muness, Unst.

The 2 Common Scoters are still at Catfirth and a Spotted Flycatcher is at Toab.

Whimbrels on Fetlar - Brydon Thomason; Black Guillemot in Lerwick - Gordon Carle

There are 4 Common Crossbills, 2 Wood Pigeons and 2 Siskins at Helendale.

A Pomarine Skua is off Noss.

On Unst, a Marsh Warbler is at Skaw and a Marsh Harrier, 3 Common Crossbills and 2 Swifts are at Baltasound.

Razorbill and leucistic Collared Dove at Lerwick - Gordon Carle; Red-breasted Merganser at Grutness - John Quirk

On Unst, the Arctic Redpoll is still at Norwick.

There are still 2 Golden Orioles at Busta House, along with a Siskin. The 2 Common Scoters are still at Catfirth.

A White Stork was reported on Yell and West Yell in the morning.

On Unst, the Arctic Redpoll is still at Norwick, along with 2 Marsh Warblers and a House Martin.

Two Common Scoters are at Catfirth and 20 Common Crossbills are at Kergord. There are 2 Siskins at Busta House. A first-summer male Common Rosefinch is at Scatness.

Bluethroat at Grutness - Ade Parker

A female Bluethroat is at Grutness. A Golden Oriole is reportedly still at Busta House, Brae, and a Hawfinch is reportedly there. Five Common Crossbills are at Helendale, Lerwick and 2 Common Scoters are at Catfirth. A Siskin is at Stendaal, South Nesting.

On Unst, there are Marsh Warblers at Norwick and Baltasound .

The Arctic Redpoll is still at Norwick, Unst.

A Marsh Warbler is singing at Wester Quarff, a Marsh Harrier is at Veensgarth, 2 Common Scoters are at Catfirth and a Siskin is at Cunningsburgh.

On Unst, an Arctic Redpoll and a Marsh Warbler are at Norwick and 2 Golden Orioles and a male Red-backed Shrike are at Baltasound.

A male Red-backed Shrike is at Cunningsburgh. A Golden Oriole is reportedly still at Busta House, Brae. There are 10 Crossbills and a Blackcap at Kergord, 4 Crossbills and 3 Siskins are at Helendale, Lerwick and a Sedge Warbler is singing at Bakland, Lerwick.

On Unst, a male Golden Oriole is at Halligarth and a Marsh Warbler is at Norwick.

A Golden Oriole is reportedly at Busta House, Brae. A Crossbill flew over Maywick.

On Yell, 2 Lesser Whitethroats are at Mid Yell and a Kestrel is at Loch of Muskra.

The first-summer male Surf Scoter is still at Catfirth. A Pomarine Skua was off Eshaness and 10 Crossbills are at Kergord. A Sparrowhawk is still on Out Skerries.

Monday 9th June 2008

Common Crossbills at Sumburgh Head - David Damant; Great Northern Diver at Brough, Whalsay - Jason Atkinson

The first-summer male Surf Scoter is still at Catfirth. 6 Crossbills are at Kergord and 3 are at Sumburgh Head.

A Hobby is on Foula. An Icterine Warbler is at Cullivoe, Yell. A House Martin is on Noss.

A Marsh Warbler is at Sumburgh Farm. Another Marsh Warbler is at Quendale, along with a Garden Warbler, a Blackcap and a Willow Warbler. A Kestrel is at Brindister.

A Honey Buzzard and Marsh Warbler are at Skaw, Unst. 2 Swifts are at Burravoe, Yell.

A Swift, a House Martin and a Cuckoo are on Noss.

The male Black-headed Bunting is still at Oddsta, Fetlar, and a Marsh Warbler, an Icterine Warbler and a Turtle Dove are also on the island. The Common Crane is still at Uyeasound, Unst and a Peregrine is at Burravoe, Yell.

A Honey Buzzard is at Sandwick, a Marsh Warbler is on Mousa and 2 Marsh Warblers are at Sumburgh Farm. A Cuckoo is at Wester Quarff and a Willow Warbler and 2 Robins are at Kergord.

A female Crossbill is at Cullivoe, Yell.

Red-necked Phalaropes on Fetlar - Dougie Preston; Common Crane at Uyeasound, Icterine Warbler at Northdale, Marsh Warbler and Pied Flycatcher at Skaw - Steve Minton

The male Black-headed Bunting is still at Oddsta, Fetlar.

A Hobby flew over King Harald Street, Lerwick. A Quail is calling at Virkie. There are 2 Marsh Warblers, an Icterine Warbler, a Cuckoo, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Song Thrush at Quarff, and a Red-backed Shrike and a Marsh Warbler at Geosetter.

On Unst, a Common Crane is between Uyeasound and Muness, a Marsh Warbler is at Baltasound, an Icterine Warbler is at Northdale, a Marsh Warbler and a Pied Flycatcher are at Skaw, a Golden Oriole is at Halligarth and 2 Lesser Whitethroats and a Garden Warbler are at Valyie. A Spotted Flycatcher is at Burravoe, Yell.

3 Lesser Whitethroats and a Robin are on Noss.

Bluethroat at Skaw, Unst - Mike Pennington; Black-headed Bunting on Fetlar and Red-rumped Swallow on Whalsay - Jason Atkinson

A Red-rumped Swallow is at Symbister, Whalsay.

On Fetlar, the male Black-headed Bunting is now at Oddsta, and a Quail is there, a Marsh Warbler is at Houbie and 4 Siskins are at Tresta.

The Greenish Warbler is still on Noss, along with a Marsh Warbler, a Wood Warbler, a Spotted Flycatcher and 2 Goosanders.

A Honey Buzzard is on Mousa. A female Red-backed Shrike is at Bridge of Walls and 8 Sanderling are at Sandness.

On Unst, a Marsh Warbler is at Baltasound, a male Bluethroat is at Skaw, a Red-backed Shrike is at Haroldswick and a House Martin is at Norwick.

Wednesday 4th June 2008

Black-headed Bunting on Fetlar - Brydon Thomason; Little Gull at Tingwall - George Petrie; Song Thrush at Sandgarth - Tony Gerrard; Red-necked Phalarope - Malcie Smith

A male Black-headed Bunting is at Brough, Fetlar.

The Red-footed Falcon is reportedly still at Bixter, the first-summer Little Gull is still at Loch of Tingwall, a Cuckoo is at Sullom Voe and a Song Thrush is at Sandgarth, Voe. There was an unconfirmed report of a possible Sardinian Warbler at Bakkasetter which referred to yesterday - there was no sign of it today.

A Thrush Nightingale, 7 Marsh Warblers, 5 Icterine Warblers, 5 Red-backed Shrikes and a Quail are on Foula. Apparently.

The Greenish Warbler is still on Noss, along with a Marsh Warbler, a Wood Warbler, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Garden Warbler.

On Unst, a Black-throated Diver is at Haroldswick, a Red-backed Shrike is at Skaw and a Great Spotted Woodpecker is at Baltasound.

3 Siskins are at Cullivoe, Yell.

A female Red-footed Falcon is just west of Bixter for its second day. The Rustic Bunting is still at Geosetter, along with a Common Rosefinch, a Marsh Warbler, a Pied Flycatcher and 2 Garden Warblers. A Golden Oriole, an Icterine Warbler and a Brambling are at Scalloway and there are 2 Golden Orioles and 10 Siskins at Kergord. A Marsh Warbler, a Sedge Warbler and a Pied Flycatcher are at Virkie, 2 Marsh Warblers are at Quendale and an Icterine Warbler is at Boddam. A Marsh Warbler, a Garden Warbler, a Spotted Flycatcher and a Blackcap are at Ocraquoy and the first-summer Little Gull is still at Loch of Tingwall.

A Greenish Warbler is on Noss, along with a Marsh Warbler, a female Red-backed Shrike, a Wood Warbler, a House Martin, 2 Whitethroats and a Garden Warbler.

On Unst, an adult Rose-coloured Starling is at Uyeasound, two Red-backed Shrikes at Skaw, a Wood Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper and a House Martin are at Haroldswick and a Lesser Whitethroat is at Burrafirth.

Rustic Bunting at Geosetter - Steve Minton; Pied Flycatcher at Geosetter - Jim Nicolson; Kestrel at Virkie - George Petrie

The Rustic Bunting is still at Geosetter, along with a Red-breasted Flycatcher and a Pied Flycatcher, and the Surf Scoter is still at Catfirth. A first-summer Little Gull is at Tingwall Loch. A Long-eared Owl is at Scatness, a Kestrel is at Virkie and a Garden Warbler and a Blackcap are at Sumburgh Head.

A Bluethroat, 2 Icterine Warblers, 2 Common Rosefinches, 2 Red-backed Shrikes and a Ring Ouzel are on Foula.

A Grasshopper Warbler, a female Red-backed Shrike and a Whinchat are on Fetlar.

A female Bluethroat and 2 Red-backed Shrikes are on Whalsay.

A Marsh Warbler and a Wood Warbler are on Noss.

On Unst, a Kestrel is at Setters Quarry.

Redshank and Dunlin on Unst - Mike Pennington

The Black Stork was seen over Norwick at mid-day before heading out of sight beyond Saxa Vord; it is probably on its way to Faeroe. A Common Crane is at Uyeasound and a Common Rosefinch is at Northdale.

A Rustic Bunting is at Geosetter and there are Marsh Warblers at Quendale, Virkie and Sumburgh Head, Icterine Warblers still at Sumburgh Head and Sumburgh Hotel with another at Exnaboe, 3 Red-backed Shrikes at Scatness, and a Green Sandpiper and a Siskin at Quendale.

A first-summer male Surf Scoter is at Catfirth for its second day.

There are 8 Common Rosefinches, 6 Red-backed Shrikes, 2 Marsh Warblers, 2 Icterine Warblers and a Grey-headed Wagtail on Foula.

A Red-backed Shrike, an Icterine Warbler, a Reed Warbler and 4 Wood Pigeons are on Out Skerries and an Icterine Warbler is at Cullivoe, Yell.

A Marsh Warbler, a Red-backed Shrike and a Garden Warbler are on Noss.
