Reptiles, Amphibians and Fish

The only reptiles recorded in Shetland are marine turtles and details of these records are included in the Shetland Sea Mammal Group pages.

The only amphibians found in Shetland have been introduced by man. Details of these species may be found on the Amphibians page on the menu, from which details of the SBRC Frogwatch survey in 1999 can also be accessed.

Only a few species of freshwater fish are found in Shetland and brief details of the species may be found on the Freshwater Fish page on the menu.

Many species of marine fish are found in Shetland waters, although no information on these species is presented here yet.

Shetland Biological Records Centre collects records for all these species.
