Reptiles, Amphibians
and Fish
The only
reptiles recorded in Shetland are
marine turtles and details of these
records are included in the Shetland Sea Mammal Group pages.
The only
amphibians found in Shetland have been introduced by man. Details of these
species may be found on the Amphibians page on the menu, from which
details of the SBRC Frogwatch survey in 1999 can also be accessed.
Only a few
species of freshwater fish are found in Shetland and brief details of the
species may be found on the Freshwater Fish page on the menu.
Many
species of marine fish are found in Shetland waters, although no
information on these species is presented here yet.
